Hey well i have a duo 1250 comp coming up. Im gonna be partnered with a IG player who loooooves his tanks and flyers. so i played with what i have or can afford to get before the comp and i came up with this list. i dont have the individual points with me but i know it totals 1240. so here we go

Overlord with MSS, WS, Sempi weave.
Catacomb command barge

Solar Pulse

So i was looking at when my fylers hit the field use solar pulse to stop the naughty interceptors, get into positions the IG player is going to seatrchlight it up and take advantage to get rid of pesky aa. also giving me time to run the lil scarabs across the board and be a general pain to tanks.

Im really new to necrons. I played GK forever and the lack of fliers made me sad

any advice on tactics or changes to be made would be great

Well I would I've your lord a res orb, stick him with the foot warriors and make them 15 by dropping the flying warriors down to 5 for objective grabbing.

in doing that would it be better to switch to 15 footslog warriors and 2 squads of 5 immortals with night scythes?

i just worry cos playing my gk non inquisitor forces a few bad roles leaves me screwed for objective grabbing and i have to switch to "kill all the things" mode to get a win.

i was hoping to avoid it with this army by having more bodies on the field

You only have 10 points spare so you would have to find another 10pts from somewhere. By the time your dropping your warriors off then they shouldn't be taking much, if any fire at all. You should aim to drop them on objectives on the last turn.
