So did anyone buy into the battle tech kick started? If you did how is it going? Did you get the figs yet and how do they look? Also any other information about the KS and figs? Thanks

I didn't, and it looks like less than 170 people did.
According to this...

... they started shipping the first of the mechs in november, but I haven't seen any reviews of the mechs anywhere.

I remember these being slightly controversial at the time when the Kickstarter came out, but I can't remember why...

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.

Price was an issue I remember being brought up. Even if you splurged and got all of the minis, it amounted to over $20 each. I don't know how that compares with normal CBT mech prices though but from an outsider view that seemed pricey at retail let alone during a kickstarter.

It was about 75% higher than the average retail for other IWM battlemechs, but to be fair, they did have more parts than most. Looking back at the KS page, it looks like there were some deals to be had at higher price points, but it's pretty confusing to figure it all out.

It wasn't a huge bonanza, but it was successful and I'm sure they learned alot. I wonder if it was successful enough from IWM's perspective to try another KS in the future.
