So until now I have been a Gifts for Geeks man. I'm just wondering are there any other trust worthy sites out there? Ive heard that Totalwargamer is slow, but a good deal, and that their customer service is a pile of skub. Triple helix games looks good, but I have no info on them. any help would be much appreciated. PS: I live in the UK

Total wargamer sucks, I placed a £100 order with them for it not to arrive 4 weeks later. after no contact and constantly blaming their migration to a new server i eventually got a refund. Wayland games are good but not discounted much. I have got a lot of ebay!

Seriously though, don't touch Total Wargamer for GW models.
I use the site regularly, and I have no problems at all and everything arrives really fast..but I don't buy GW stuff from there.
Recommend: http://darksphere.co.uk/
25% discount and excellent service.
*Once managed to get 100 imperial guard (with heavy and special weapons) for £40 off a Mantic sale, was pretty happy about that and the minis are great.

Was very happy getting some (previously) hard-to-get X-Wing expansions super-fast and super-cheap through http://www.wargamestore.com/
Can't speak for their 40K, but it's an etailer to check out. That said, their discounts seem to be temporary / promotion-based. Currently it's "only" 10% for 40K and nothing for X-Wing. I remember it being better.

The best place for Australia and Canada that I know of is Discount Games Store in the US, which was discussed with all the relevant links in this dakka thread. They sell at ~25-30% off US RRP with periodic extra discounts on bundles and have good shipping rates and great service.

If you want the models, but are OK with pre-owned stuff.. the Swap Shop here on Dakka, or the Bartertown website will net you some great deals.. you can even find NIB items at up to 50% off sometimes..

Yeah, there are a lot of stores and the quality varies between orders. I have had good and bad experiences with all of the stores mentioned in this thread, along with others. Return policies seems to be what sets them apart, it's a good idea to call and ask about them before you buy from someone.
TBH, I don't buy many new miniatures these days, since most of what I build is conversions and I *hate* chopping up $50 models to make $5 models look better. I use EBay for most of my purchases.
That said... EBay is not perfect either. I bought some Daemons models from someone recently and it turned out they were all recasts. The seller listed himself as being from California, but he was sending me stuff produced in China. The color of the materials was off, and there were far too many airbubbles for this to be a GW product. I decided to live with it based on what I paid, but it left me feeling awful to be supporting a counterfeiter.

Question for the OP:
Are you strictly looking for NIB ?
If you're okay with the second hand market, then the best deals can be found on second hand sites (note, too you can find really good deals on NOS and NIB stuff too), like the swap shop here, and bartertown.
Bartertown, for instance, is a site dedicated to trading and selling wargame and gaming stuff. I trade there a lot. Full disclosure, yeah, it's always a good idea to get pictures of stuff if you're not into doing a lot of rehab (though willingness to rehab used models is where the best deals lie), but the standard rate on bartertown is like 40% off for used models - and usually you can negotiate with a trade partner to 50% off. More if the models need some love and your trade partner doesn't have TAWMBTAM Syndrome ("These are worth more because they are Mine").
It's also a good place to find specific or smaller lot items that might otherwise require a full box purchase for just a small handful of items you truly want / need. For instance, if you're just looking for a couple models to fill out a unit rather than a full box, Btown is a gem.
If you're okay with 2nd hand stuff, then i'd highly recommend one of these sites, Btown in particular. With the cost of GW models, i find that i'm okay with doing even involved rehab projects as long as i know what i'm getting into. Of course, garbage models are still garbabe, but bad paint jobs can be overcome with some time and elbow grease.
Just a suggestion, as usually for NIB stuff, 20% is going to be the max from most online places, and there's the added annoyance that most places don't have shopping baskets (which, if you're like me, pretty much immediately kills the impulse purchase urge if i have to call up a place to put in an order...). There are some places that will do 30% but they are relatively few and far between, and some of them have some questionable track records.
Of course the downside to the second hand sites is that if you're in the market for very specific things, you have to watch closely for when they come available, and then negotiate, etc. It's a bit more luck driven and time consuming, but the payoff is incredible if you put in a bit of effort. That said, it's not for everyone, and i totally get that.

Have used Triple Helix, after a delay & poor communication, they apologized & refunded my p&p. After the order arrived, I gave them a 2nd chance and that order was spot on. So overall, I will use again.
Have also used www.warlord-workshop.co.uk
They have always been excellent for me, (4 orders to date), great prices & customer service, kept informed by e-mail throughout, & loyalty points.
I have also had free next day delivery from them, bonus.
If your looking to order more than £100 worth, and especially if your looking at buying tanks etc, I highly recommend.
Best prices I could find for my SM tanks.
