I have heard so much complaints about line of sight and modeling for advantage, for 40k and people saying that fantasie's square base system is better can any fantasy players weigh in on 40k being played with square bases?

I literally cannot think of any reason why 40k "should" be played with square bases.

As to if I would play an army that had them, I'd have no problem as long as it didn't give them some serious bonus

The only (small) benefit I can see is that doing the DS formations might be easier, other than that I can't see much point really.

Thats pretty legit actually. Though if they just made it 1" coherency or something we wouldn't have that problem to start with (DS stormboyz is a real pain)
