Just read something here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Dakka_Modeling_FAQ:_Photographing_Models

Many folks have access to web space as a part of their internet subscription that may allow them to store photos. Companies also offer to host images for free, but may not allow you to link to them - meaning that they may not show up on Dakka. The large number of viewers on Dakka can quickly saturate bandwidth quotas imposed by some hosting services. Pbase.com is an often used image hosting site but is subject to bandwith restrictions.

Got a little confused. By bandwidth, do you mean bandwidth for the site or for the person uploading the pictures?

Third party websites often limit the amount of usage a single image can get. Bandwidth is the wrong term really, but basically if you upload to some of the image hosting places out there, they will take the image down or disable access to it if it is viewed too many times. There are some good options out there as well now, but for wargaming related images, Dakka's gallery is the best choice in my biased opinion.

Check out our new, fully plastic tabletop wargame - Maelstrom's Edge, made by Dakka!
