Well here it is, the idea is to infiltrate the two kroot hound squads after a round or two of face punching. Hopefully I can get them to some forest cover for a good save (4+ I believe?). As you can see I have some wiggle room left before 1850. My thought is to run Bob and Phil around to buff shooting as needed. I was thinking of dropping a devilish in to deliver pathfinders or shuttle anybody that needs a ride then sticking it between the infiltrating kroot and any threats either as bait or to make footslogging assaulters go around. I also plan to fire off all the skyray missles T1 & 2 then using it to hunt scouts or snipers, things like that. Well have at her.

Ok, we've got some legality issues here.

Signature Sytems are called that for a reason; they can only be taken once per army. So either Phil or Bob is going to have to dump his wargear. Also, giving either of them guns makes very little sense as in order to render their benefits they cannot shoot.

A Velocity Tracker instead of Stims would be welcome on the HBC tide. You also might consider swapping their secondary weapons; SMS synergizes better with HBC than IA.

Hammerheads are meh; especially without Longstrike. Always swap the Burst Cannon for SMS on the Skyrays (and HHs).

I knew there was something wrong with bob and Phil. Dang it, the guns where just in case really. I a question, if I ally farsight enclave can I take another pathfinder team?

Agree 100% with The Shrike. Never twin link guns on a commander. Bs5 gives you enough confidence to roll more dice over sacrificing rolls for re rolls. Split the fusion to shoot single, and reap the benefits.

Since you cant double down on sig systems, make one commander the true buffmander, and make the other one fighting oriented. Plenty of the other sig systems, as well as support systems are great. Onager, iridium, neuroweb jammer, vector retro thruster, target lock(list specific) or drone controller(list specific) are all good choices.

3rd kroot squad needs a puppy. If you want all armor in your HS slot, go 2 skyrays and 1 hammerhead with longstrike. Also, disruption pods are a must on any unit that can take them.

If you ally farsight, you can take a 4th pathfinder team, but It may be better to take marker drones and/or skyrays.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

I was planning to start the other kroot on the board but ill bend seeing as its only 5 points and options are good. Now I looked at disruption but I figured I could just go spines and stick them in cover. But I see the synergy there. So if I'm allying in enclaves I could run a crisis squad with the fighting commander just joining him into it correct? They would then be scoring if I'm not mistaken.

Sure you could. If you're going to ally in Farsight and have one commander be a "fighting" commander...have you considered just allying in O'Shovah himself?

He wouldn't get his no-scatter, because that's a Warlord trait but he can attach to a scoring Crisis unit like this:

Crisis x3: Shas'vre Plasma x2, Plasma x2 (VRT), Fusion x2 (Target Lock), 2 Shield Drones- 203

You've got lots of AP2 or less and when you are in combat, Farsight is a BAMF (at least by Tau standards). If you get in combat with something truly scary, accept the challenge with the Vre then hit and run out with Farsight's I5 and shoot them again.

It's not ultra competitive but I bring him in friendly games and he's funny. Sometimes he kills insane things like Dreadknights and Daemon Princes.

I like that idea. I don't have my enclaves dex yet, I ordered it through local shop months ago but they apparently suck at ordering. In any case I don't know exactly what it offers, I would like to add in another pathfinder team but I don't know if that's something I can ally in or not.
Why are hammerheads comsidered "meh"? I have seen this more than once but I figure if I'm running pathfinder heavy (which I am) I can all but guarantee hits. Should I sub in broadsides? I need the ap1 do I not? I would be happy to can them and run more crisis teams for my ap1 needs.

You hit the nail on the head. S10 AP1 is good for what? Popping tanks right? You know what's better than S10? S8 Melta...with 9" effective 2D6 to pen. Tau Fusion is soo good for that reason.

You can have a couple solo suits with double fusion drop in; and that 9" to get melta effect mitigates a bad scatter a little bit. Then you throw a some markerlights on your target to remove jinks and up your BS from 3 to 5 or so and you've got a great chance at big boom.

Broadsides are good, but I have to say that they can struggle in Hammer and Anvil and Vanguard deployments depending on your opponent and the prevalence of LOS blocking terrain. I have 3 of them, and I do use them in friendly games but I've gotten away from them competitively. (Who would've thought someone would say THAT 6 months ago haha). The missile sides range can just be so crippled and because many of your opponents won't have to close with you, they can be left out of the fight. Lacking relentless, it's tough to get them back in it.

Skyrays however, are great support. They're wonderful AA and once you fire off all the missiles, they're a very low priority target. So after that you can throw BS4 markerlights on things and fire your SMS to your heart's content. Cheap too.

Does your meta allow Forgeworld? Tetras are amazing for enclaves. Not only are they great markerlight support but Crisis suits don't scatter when they deep strike within 6" of a tetra.

I can think of a particular eldar player who is going to be VERY opposed to my using tetras. But he is going to be pretty butthurt the first time he goes up against 60 kroot snipers anyway. Say night night wraith knights. (He runs 2 wraith knights and serpent spam). I did 20 or so rolls of 20 snipers against a wraith knight the other day and I don't think even a single one resulted in a standing knight.
I will however need to pop 5 or 6 serpents. Which makes me think I need a loner sunforge crisis or two on serpent duty. But I can sac the other hammerhead, maybe do 2 man crews with target lock.

A shield drone is cheaper than a shield gen. Although even that isn't necessarily worth it. Accept that these are suicide units.

Your list is still not legal as C:TE or Farsight Enclave.

Suits are only troops in Farsight, and farsight has a different Signiture systems lists.

You can move the Suits to Elite and make it legal as a list for C:TE
