Ok so hi my name is Pipxeroth and I love the warhammer 40k universe. I've read a couple of different threads on here, and I decided I might as well make an account and give my 2 cents on... things (i have no idea if that made it in italics or not). I'm a 14 year old male who is quite mature for his age (and according to a lot of people "very humble" ).

So i started collecting about a year or 2 back when my friend gave me a copy of white dwarf and i loved it, so I walked into Games Workshop and I saw all these guys from the future, in this awesome armour fighting some ugly green dudes and i was like

So i took a look around and asked the guy "how does this stuff work"

He did a short explanation on the game and then let me play a practice match, and I learned about the movement and shooting and close combat, and i loved it. So i decided to collect an army. The first thing i did, was realise that Space Marines were massively overplayed and i hated them, so they went out the window immediately. Normally, in any futuristic/fantasy realm i never play humans. So i also got rid of imperial guard. I knew as soon as i saw them that Eldar are pansies (yes i hate eldar, and elves) so i didn't play them. I was stuck, and the guy asked "Do you like shooting people from far away with high tech (i chose this one), or getting up close and attacking in melee. So i began a tau collection. Was working on it for about a month... "i think i'll change" and the same happened the next month.

I can't make decisions. I'm not sure if it was this that made me realise, but with every situation in my life i have difficulty making any decision at all.

After about a year of thinking I decided that i loved the Necrons. Got the battleset thingy for my birthday... and then they got the updated codex. Then i didn't like the fact they had the capability of speech blah blah. So turned to tyranids and chaos. I loved (and still do) both of them pretty equally despite how different they are. Then i started to love Necrons again and all was good in the world of Pipxeroth.

For the majority of the time my listing has been this:

Necrons
Chaos/Tyranids
Tau
Orks
Imperial Guard
Space Marines
Eldar

But very recently, and probably what made me subconsciously think to join this, is a week or two ago i began watching some Warhammer 40k Dawn of War II Retribution: Faction wars

Which in short terms is 3v3 race skirmishes in DOWII Retribution. Orks vs Tyranids it was. I entered as a tyranid fan... and left googling for more WAAGH

I had always thought of orks as a weak swarm army who were only decent in melee and sucked at everything else. Luckily, after watching the vid and some more research, I fell in love with

DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA

, along with their melee.

So now orks are my favourite for a period of time, and hopefully soon i'll be able to call one of my armies home.

Can't really think of anything else to say.

Miscellaneous stuff includes: I love magic in fantasy, i tried playing wow and got addicted to other games and played about 1 hr out of the 30 days i got (i want to renew and make an undead or goblin warlock), i love comics, i'm proud to be a nerd, i don't listen to much music, i hate PewDiePie, i hate CoD, i love pirates, my favourite game is tf2. Currently at 720+ hrs (to be fair 200 or so hrs are spent afk ) and from my mum's friend for christmas i got a limited edition man of steel #868 of 16 000, and Doctor Doom > everything.

Feel free to ask me any questions you have, and i look foward to posting

- Pip

Where warpgates have opened, and people such as myself drag us all down the unholy path that is off-topicness.

Hope you have fun here

P.s: You may be interested to know that the Tyranids will be getting a new codex soon

It seems like you have the same problem as me: Actually liking most of the armies, making it hard to settle!

Anyway, good to see a new aussie! Welcome!
