i have two DKoK sitting in a box at my desk... i won´t ever paint them as i think they are not my style... so we could do swapsies with that... will make a pic soon to show what exactly i´ve got...
not really worth it for two DKoK if they're plain footsloggers. If it's anything else, tell me

heh, this is the old one.
try a search for "the sons of corax".

aaaaaand I'm back
(whooo!)
got another gaunt's ghosts book, meaning I have all three omnibuses. I would go on to buy the other two single books, but the 3-book omnibus for that's coming out in october, so I'll wait it out until then.
I got so addicted to that, I read some 1,500 pages from "the lost" and "the saint" out on my sunny balcony by the mediterrainean.
back on topic, I'll release another segment when I'm over the jetlag. ^^

Viktor von Domm wrote:nice to have ye back mate, reading seems a good pastime activity^^ ´m still on the hunt for gaunt´s books...
you should start at the beginning, but the more recent books are the best as Abnett gets the hang of it. my personal favorites are "traitor general", "only in death", "sabbat martyr" and "necropolis".

that it does.
gaunt's ghosts is my favorite book series, and is the only one that has accomplished (much to my shame) the feat of making my eyes well up.

I think it would be a lot funnier if they had nothing there. That would be truly ninja ^^

Not much happening hobbywise- I'm currently saving up all my pennies to buy the new space marine game.
on the plus side, I've also purchased the life of brian and the holy grail on DVD for £6

ouch... that is dead cheap...even if i add a factor of 1.5 to the price tag then it would cost me about more then a double to get both movies ...*green with envy*
awwww....to loose time on a stupid game and not work on your hobby...*shakes sad head, and swithes to own game instead^^*

well I have the money to get the normal game, but I want to get the collector's edition. only £20 more with a soundtrack, life size purity seal, bonus stuff in-game, a load of cards giving you tips and tricks for the characters and weapons in-game, and a graphic artbook.
Plus I feel for only £20 more, getting the game I've always wanted as my first collector's ed. game would be good ^^

yep sounds like a cool thing, but i thought this is not an online game... so why the extra ingame stuff? useful things or just things that you will eventually get later in the game?

it has two signleplayer campaigns and multiplayer with various mission types. The things I don't know whether you later get them anyway, but normally they have an exclusive something.
To illustrate how much blood and gore there is, if you do an "execution" move on an ork nob with a power axe, you nail it to the wall by the knee, disarm it, thrust our fingers into it's mouth and rip it's skull in two ^^ very suiting to a space marine and the grimdarkness of warhammer 40k in general ^^
here's a few:

i have to say, that is the goriest, bloodiest and most violent game i have ever seen!!! the ripping scene wasn´t by half the most brutal! the face stomping done my the marine in two ocasions is by far the messiest...
on a related side note.... watch the back and bum of yon marine looks almost as if the purity seal he has is some string piece of toilet paper coming from his pants...intentional to put a bit of fun into the game and makes it less grim??? who knows with gamedesigners these days^^

yeah, this game's awesome. It's good that games workshop finally went "feth 12+, we'll make an M-rated game." They must have decided that if they were gonna make it M-rated, they might as well go to town on the gore ^^
yes, I noticed the "toilet paper" too. Good to see it wasn't just me thinking that ^^

is this a complete model or a conversion?? the top head is very smart looking!
the darkness is as best as I could do (I couldn't get the flash on the camera to work.) Maybe 50+ pictures I took of him, and that was the lightest, with mutliple settings changed, sunlight streaming in, 2 lamps on and everything, still that.
It's a conversion from this fella:
the guns are from AOBR nobs, the right elbow and most of the right thigh is made from blue tack ^^
