Hello

So newyears approaching and its time to start a new project

Decided to start another WFB army (normally play Dwarfs) and decided to go Warriors of Chaos, nothing better than being the bad guy trying to end the world and stuff.

Now always like the fluff behind Nurgle, units being full of pus and bile plus the possibility for conversion is endless and wanted to go mono god to add a bit of a theme for the army

Rough list looks like this - all marked with nurgle if poss

Daemon Prince
BSB
17 GW Warriors
24 Shield Warriors
2 Gore Chariots
chimera
hellcannon

As ive used Avatars of War Dwarfs in my other army (the casts and sculpts are amazing) ive pre ordered 2 units of Corruptors of Apocalypse for my core - one unit with shields and one unit with great weapons which should be delivered mid january.

Luckily ive been a good boy this year and Santa brought me some nice new toys for xmas

Heres my Daemon Prince - The Rotten Butcher

pic for size comparison against my sorcerer

Looking forward to painting this the cast was amazing and got a few techniques im looking to try out

Will post some progress pics in the next few days

Thanks for looking and feel free to post some c&c, suggestions, advice

cheers

Dai

He looks perfect for the part. Who makes him?

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

Also made a start on my spawn - incase my aspiring champs turn into a gibbering mess

and x2 unit fillers for my warrior blocks (whenever there delivered from AOW)

c&c is always welcome

So heres some pics of the completed minis so far all based with snow & pus/blood effects (sorry about poor quality using iphone)

Chimera - will go back and add some more skin highlights to the body when i buy the right color paint sometime in the next few weeks)

Spawn - used some of the new GW technical paint nurgle rot & was quite impressed - thinking i might gloss varnish the tentacles to give it a wet look

Unit fillers

Chaos Dwarves - might add some blood effects to the blades

Hellcannon with crew

Pleased how the armies progressing at the moment & hoping to get the 10 dire wolves done this weekend leaving me to make a start on the 1st gorebeast

My aim is to get most of the army painted whenever AOW ship the corruptors of chaos, before the new dwarf book comes out (my other army) as ill be adding units to that

Thanks
