Is it just me, or are the hull pieces for the valk kit a really poor fit for eachother?

Poor fit? Doesn't look that bad.

I've built a few of them and I've never had any trouble.

Probably just me then. Mine's got fairly noticeable gaps...

I built one and lite it up, the fit is terrible. Gaps everywhere.

Wrap an elastic band (fairly tightly) around it when you assemble that way it will help with any gaps. That or heat up the bits that you're having trouble with and gently bend them into shape.

They ARE a bit fiddly and can cause gaps if you dont get it just right. I had to break the glue seal, get rid of excess glue and redo on a couple spots to get it right.
Good luck on this man, I feel ya, but it IS possible.

I had some issues with one of the larger hull sections being a bit warped, now when I have large flat pieces I lay them all down on a flat glass table to inspect for warping before I assemble. Even a small amount of deviance can cause a larger issue later on, but that's pretty obvious really. Good luck, although I would avoid using more superglue as your first choice of attack for a poorly fitted model. It's never worked out well for me.

I just bought my first Valkyrie today. So, thanks for the potential warnings, I'll probably keep a clamp on me while glue is still wet.

The plastic kit is a piece of cake compared to the abomination that was the FW resin kit.

Be content in that. They changed a few things in the plastic kit, but the model became sooo much more of a dream to assemble (and I'm not a resin noob).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
