My friend got me a Tervigon for Christmas and I have yet to remove the lovely plastic wrapping off of the box yet. Would it be better to piece paint this beast or fully assemble and then paint? Just curious what people's thoughts were on this. I might have used the term wrong but piece painting was meant to refer to assembling portions and painting.

Thanks Dakka

I painted him in parts, but a lot of it will have to do with your scheme and methods (I airbrushed him mostly, so it was easier to reach most of the body).

the sub assemblies were -
Main body
legs
egg sac
head.

Now, I also magnetized mine so he could be either a tfex or a tervigon, but that was a bit of work.

best of luck!

I painted mine using washes which was easier to do when fully assembled.
