I've always seen Warlocks as offensive psykers, maybe I have been playing to much DOW 2, but I have been rather disappointed by the fact that only a single power out of over 10 is an actual witchfire, the rest are either augments or maledictions. That was always the Farseers territory for me, yet even they get more offensive powers then the Warlocks! So this psyker table would be an option for warlocks to roll on instead of Runes of Battle to help sure up their place as offensive psykers, not necessarily with loads of Witchfires but more offensive orientated spells.

Primaris Power. Embitter.Blessing/Malediction, 1 warp charge. The Warlock infuses his allies with the repressed hatred of the elder within the infinity circuit, filling them with righteous hatred. When times demand a Warlock may place this hatred onto his enemies, for a raging bull is far easier to trap when it is charging you.

Blessing. The Warlock and his unit gains the Hatred USR. Malediction. Targets an enemy unit within 12'', this unit may not fire overwatch but gains Hatred until the Warlock next turn.

1 Immolate. witchfire, 1 warp charge. The Warlocks anger causes the very air and ground to set aflame.

Range 18'' S 5 AP 5 Assault 1, Ignores Cover, Blast,Scorched Earth (If Immolate caused one wound or more, roll a dice. If the result is 4 or more leave a small template where the attack landed, this area is now dangerous terrain until the next friendly movement phase)

2 Icy Rancour. Blessing. 1 Warp Charge. Hatred is not always hot and burning, for the deepest of loathings run cold and deep. A skilled battleseer and douse the fires of hatred, transforming them into an Icy blizzard of vengance and bitterness which manifests in cold precision.

The Warlock and his unit gain Preferred Enemy until the next friendly movement phase. Any unit effected by this blessing may not benift from Battle Lust as well.

3 Ethereal Blades. Blessing. 1 Warp Charge. All Warlocks are skilled BattleKines, wielding their minds as sharp as their swords. A Warlock fighting in this manner can make several slashes at once, his own blade accompanied by ones of pure though.

Blessing. Allows the Warlock to during the assault phase at the Warlocks Initiative step in addition to his normal attacks place a small round template any where over the Warlocks base, it does not scatter and all enemy models under the template suffer a strength 3 AP - Fleshbane hit. The enemy unit DOES get to deny this, even though it is not targeted at the enemy unit.

4 Battle lust/Frenzy. Blessing/Malediction, 1 warp charge. The fires and thrills of combat are stoked in the hearts of those the Warlock looks upon.

Blessing. The Warlock and his unit gains the Furious Charge USR. Malediction. Target a unit within 18'', this unit must pass a leadership test at the start of it's movement phase or move towards the closest enemy unit and MUST declare a charge if possible.

5. Warp Throw. Witchfire, 1 Warp Charge. To a trained battleseer, the bodies of his enemies are nothing but rag dolls to the power of his mind.

Range 18, strength 3 AP - assault *, Throw*. * Any unit that is targetted by this power and fails to deny must take a single I test using majority Initiative or else suffer an amount of strength 3 hits equal to the amount of models in the unit. If a unsaved wound is caused, roll a scatter die and a 1d6, the entire unit is then moved that many inches in that direction (in case of a hit follow the arrow) until it is within 1 inch of a piece of terrain or other model, in that case it stops.

Witchfire.
6 Eldritch Bolt. Witchfire. The most lethal manifestation of power a Warlock is taught, for it is not for the likes of the Farseer because only those who have trodden the warrior path can kindle that much hate.

Range 12'' S 7 AP 2 Assault d3, Lance, Soulblaze, Gets Hot.

What do you think?

((EDIT** Added in some extra spells and wanted to play i have play tested the first 4 spells i wrote, with Embitter and battle lust really helping to make a fun CC Eldar army (We allow Warlocks to join Aspect warriors and gain their special rules if they pay the base cost of one of the Aspects) while Eldrich storm was fun to but is very risky, while i blown up a rhino i also died to gets hot! Fair trade off? Maybe not but very enjoyable for me and my opponent, far better then all of divination blessings Eldar usually spam.

You're missing three powers.

I have no real problem with the Warlock powers per se. Yes, the DOW2 immolation power was nice (but hardly did damage), but otherwise I feel the Warlock powers are fairly decent.
What I AM missing is higher LD. Both considering the high cost of the model and considering the risk of not succeeding is too high to warrant the 1/18 risk of the Warlock dying. Add to this that Maledictions in this edition are fairly useless (and so are Witchfires, for that matter).

What you could do is fiddle a bit with what is the primaris. Renew/Destructor is a fairly potent power to have as a primaris, but I'm sure a decent friend wouldn't say no as long as you don't abuse/use Wraithknights.

I really need to stay away from the 40K forums.

I think it's cool but I think there main powers are already good.

I admit I think you should add the gets hot rule to the Eldritch bolt Power, first off because it's really good and gets hot can help balance that and it sounds fluffy and then second because it's cool and the risk makes sense and it's just a game so it will be awesome and funny when you roll a 5 or 6 to get 3 shots and 2 hit 1 gets hot you pen and explode a land raider crusader but fail your 4++

Yeah...it's kinda like that.

I think Eldritch Bolt needs to decide whether it wants to be a Blood Lance or a Living Lightning. As is, gets hot is a bit weird.
What it is now is 1D3 Bright Lances with Soul Blaze that has the following drawbacks:
* -1 Strength.
* -24" range
* roughly 40% failure rate per attempt
* 2,78% critical failure rate where the Warlock dies with no saves of any kind.
* 2,78% additional critical failure rate where the Warlock dies with no saves of any kind but still get to shoot.
* Gets Hot! on top of this.

As it is, well... I wouldn't say it's any good. Try to decide whether it is meant to target GEQ, MEQ, TEQ, AV and/or MC and design it for that purpose. And remove Gets Hot! it's actually rather gak even without it.

As a reference, with all things considered, think of the Psychic Power that the Warlock gets to be something of a 5 to 10 point upgrade that requires a LD test ON EIGHT to use and design after that.

I really need to stay away from the 40K forums.
