General idea:
Alpha strike primary threats, try to take out anything that can threaten furiosos if possible
If the opponent castles due to seeing 9 drop pods, artillery strike them since they're probably spread out to deny drop pods the scatter will be fine
If the opponent goes after the artillery…it's all over because I will just drop pod on them piecemeal as needed
If the opponent doesnt castle, normal drop pod assault behind tanks

Turn 1:
Drop HQ, drop death company, drop 3 furiosos
On the board: 5 pods, 3 furioso dreads, 1 librarian with 5 honour guard, shooty death company
Weapons firing first turn: 5 storm bolters (pods), 14 bolters (death company), 3 melta guns and 6 frag cannon templates(furiosos), 2 melta gun shots and 8 combi-plasma gun shots (hq), (1 mortar, 3 griffons, 1 artillery bombardment all indirect) and all of this goes more or less wherever wanted
Due to Sanguinary Shield, at least infantry is 5+ cover (4+ go to ground), all blood angels have 5+ feel no pain, all artillery is out of LOS,
All armor on the board is AV13

Turn 2:
Roll 3+ for the remaining 4 drop pods and Marbo each of which has melta or marbo's demolition charge

That is pretty solid. I like it! I suppose you can ignore most flyers since you are alpha striking. But there are some that will give you problems; flyers carrying troops (especially nightscythes), helldrakes and FMCs (as FMCs are going to be able to decide when and where they want to land and assault, due to suffering reletively few grounding tests). Apart from that you have everything short of an MC spam covered.

Yeah, flyers would be the big issue. I'm thinking the only tactic I'd really have against them is to not deploy the HQ as part of the alpha strike and instead hope to drop pod it near a flyer on successive turns and snap fire all of that plasma. I don't know what else could fit into this list for AA.

I could drop the death company by 2 models, drop 1 melta or combi plas, and drop 1 griffon and take a vendetta gunship against flyers and stay 1850. I somewhat don't like how it reduces the alpha strike...

Tbf against most flyers you should be safe as everything that is a juicy target aside from the griffons should be in combat. I wouldnt say those drops are worth a vendetta personally, because, as you point out, it does take some oomphf out of your alpha strike...

I noticed what Sternguard veterans do and got forced to modify my list. It now has ridiculous amounts of firepower on the alpha strike. I very reluctantly dropped 1 furioso dreadnaught, 7 death company, and 1 squad of 5 assault marines in exchange for sternguard veterans and 2 melta land speeders.

I also realize that I could have allied with another marine army to take yet another group of sternguard but I think that list would be just unfun to play against in a casual setting as the alpha strike would be ridiculous but the follow through would be quite minimal. Maybe I'll keep it as a side list. Here are my changes:

Get 1 landspeeder with 2 multimeltas for 80pts, saving 40pts. Also a nice point to remember is that you can combat squad those sternies as soon as they have dropped and shoot at 2 different targets.
Deepstrike the landspeeder. It will come in with the second wave but they will survive to shoot at least once!
With the 40pts you've saved, I would get magna grapples for the furiosos and a melta for that 3rd assault squad.
Remember that you can only throw 1 grenade per squad (but all can use them against tanks and MCs in assault).

Furioso is amazing against infantry, so dont make him go half & half. Go heavy flamer + frag to really clear out infantry.

Assault squads can have a really hefty alphastrike themselves. Sergeant can take 2x pistols, so you can have 3 melta shots or 3 flamers from each squad for not that much more.

I would drop the speeders to get 3 melta on all three assault squads with 20 pts to spare.

Your ig detachment could use some work too. Griffons are nice enough, but wont stop mech opponents from castling. I would go for 2 basilisk over 3 griffons for your list. Marbo is fun, but not very good, and he does not help any weakness in your list.

The veterans are utterly useless, and their shotsguns are s3, so lasguns are the better weapon. I would look at the platoon for many scoring bodies.

Master of ordnance is very risky when you are dropping in amongst the enemy, probably not worth it for your list.

I disagree with the furioso comment. A furioso with frag, melta, and magna grapple can take on tanks, squadrons and infantry, all for just 5pts more than the heavy flamer eqivalent.
The melta assault squads are a good idea from pods.
Basilisk will indeed be more deadly against anyone but horde.

illumini: As far as I can tell from the wording of the BA codex a sgt cannot take 2 pistols. Even if he could, I'm pretty sure an infantry model can normally only fire a single weapon per round of shooting. The veterans are there because they are the cheapest troop choice for an allied IG detachment. The basilisks might be a good reccommendation but I do not like the 36" minimum range. Also griffons allow you to reroll the scatter so I can prevent hitting my drop pod units. Good point with the master of ordinance, then again the MOO is nearly a basilisk without the restrictions for only 30 points.

The sarge can take two pistols and fire them. Can swap his bolt pistol for one and his ccw for one. I do this often. Models can fire 2 pistols due to the gunslinger rule.

Hmm, it seems that there are some options available in 6th that I wasnt aware of. It seems that I can move the company commander without the MOO counting as moving. I could therefore pop the company commander into line of sight during my first turn and issue "Bring it down" to basilisks AND the MOO in order to get rerollable shooting for basilisks. Damn it, i bought the griffons haha.

Iteration 3 of the list. I am starting to solidly like it since it now has anti-air and also the mandatory veterans are not foot slogging but instead dropping with similar firepower to a unit of 5 assault marines with melta.
