Subject: Taudar 1850 - outdated due to Escalation etc!

Outdated now due to Escalation, but I just so wanted the Gundams that I had to go for it. Can it still compete? If it shoots first can it hurt a revenant Titan enough?
I've just bought it...
Tau (with Eldar Allies)
Commander
Command Control, Multi-spectrum Sensor Suite, Puretide, Stim Injector
Cadre Fireblade
Riptide
Ion, Stim Injector
Riptide
Ion
Riptide
HBC, EWO, Velocity Tracker
Fire Warrior x 12
Fire Warrior x 6
Kroot x 10 with hound
Kroot x 10 with hound
Broadsides x 3
HYMP, SM, EWO
Broadsides x 3
HYMP, SM, EWO
Farseer
Jetbike
Jetbike Squad - 3
Jetbike Squad - 3
Aegis Defense Line with Quad gun
Am I overcompensating for flyers? Was wondering about making one Broadside team heavy rail rifling... Or even taking all three Rips as Ion... Know people don't love the cadre fireblade, but I figure with the commander and the farseer I can buff all three riptides and he gives me cheap BS5 on the quad gun and buffs the 12 man firewarrior unit nicely with shots and leadership...
But I don't know what it does about a revenant titan?

I'm only just now learning 40k in-depth, so take my advice with a grain of salt.
I really like the Fireblade ADL plan. Those Fire Warrior's will remain stationary for Volley Fire and BS5 Quad gun is ballin', worth trying to see how it is at least.
Since you're not using the third Heavy slot, split your Broadsides 2/2/2 instead of 3/3 for better spread of firepower. HYMP is better than the Rifle is most cases. It's more shots for anything less than AV13 meaning light vehicles and infantry alike are gonna hurt. If you need anti-AV13/14 I suggest mounting your Riptides with Fusion Blasters and considering Crisis Suits.
I'd throw Iridium Armor on the Commander- if points are tight I'd even swap Stim for it. Likewise I'd only keep Stim on that Riptide if the points allow for it.
Those Kroot need Sniper Rounds. IMO, too good to pass up, ever. In addition to fixing up the Troops, getting Shuriken Cannon's on the Jetbikes would be awesome, but you'd have to cut somewhere.
Overall I think the list is strong; Farseer and Buffmander to keep the Riptides buffed up, mobile troops in the Jetbikes and Kroot, and the Fire Warrior's are fairly powerful themselves. You might find the HBC Riptide puts you over the top on both Interceptor and Skyfire; personally I'd cut him entirely. With three units of Broadsides and the Quad-gun you have Interceptor covered, and I honestly think the Quad-gun covers most flyers itself. With the points from him you could put Shuriken Cannons on your Jetbikes and add some Crisis Suits for more utility.

A revenant titan will board your army. But so what? Just don't use the list in escalation. For normal play, it is a strong list.
In fact, I would say it is too strong for casual\pick-up games in most areas.

I'd recommend ditching the fireblade and those firewarriors for a bunch of kroot - this doesn't look enough like every other Taudar list.

At least turn the Broadsides and the HBC Riptide into the formation. Free tank hunter and PE:SM!

Wow. Do you get Tank Hunter with it? That is tempting... And does Prefered Enemy Space Marine only work on armies raised from codex: space marine or also with Space Wolves, Blood Angels etc and the other Space Marines thingies? Might just have to get that data slate thingy!

Just C: SM, but it also gives C: SM Hatred against the formation. Still the Tank hunter across the whole formation is very nice. Also frees up an elite and 2 heavy slots.
