Im building my first Battlewagon today, and I wanted to mount Rokkit Launchas on it, which leaves me with a few questions of how they should go on the wagon:

1. How many Rokkit Launchas and/or Big Shootas can go on the battlewagon? As many as can fit? As many as you can afford? There is no limit listed in the codex, but there is a definite limit as to how many can fit on the model, and where.

2. Where can Rokkit Launchas be placed? There are the turrets on top with turret-mounted Big Shootas, can they be converted to Rokkits? These can fire 360 degrees, which is a huge advantage. Or must they be placed on the pindle mounts in the passenger cab? Those can only fire in an arc when the wagon is facing the right way. Or are they treated as BOTH having the same arcs, provided they are modelled? Must they all be modelled? What if question #1 doesnt have a limit to number of guns, where do you put them?

Does it even matter?

You're building this from scratch, presumably?

1.) You are allowed a big gun. You are allowed up to an additional 4 big shootas OR rokkit launchas. There is a definite limit listed in the Codex, please reference pp 102.

2.) There are no limits on placement if you are scratchbuilding. The rules for the 4 additional weapons described above do not describe how they are mounted. They can be in turrets, or otherwise. Yes, like any other weapon in all of 40k, it must be modeled in some way.

Thanks! Actually, I'm building the kit, its just the kit has zero rokkits with it, so I had no hint how they should be mounted.

I suppose I could always make a few turrets with 2 rokkits, so I can actually fit 4 on the wagon?

I'd recommend replacing the mounts that the ork boyz use for their big shootas, and replacing the mounts with something larger. Once that is done you can throw a magnet in there, and replace the big shootas with rokkit launchas as you need.

Alternately you can just cut the barrels off the gun and glue some rokkits on there if you know you want to use it permanently.

Same goes for the turrets.

Alternately you can glue rokkits instead of the default weapons to the small turret, add one to the grabbin klaw (or replace it) and add one as a pintle mount to the big turret, something like that. There really aren't any rules for how to model them on the vehicle listed.
