Subject: New Skyray/Hammerhead Kit Question

Human Auxiliary to the Empire

Hi, quick question on the new skyray/hammerhead kit. Does the kit come with separate turret bases for the skyray missile array and the hammerhead main weapon, or are they constructed from the same base? Cos I have a spare devilfish that im considering converting, using the spare turret from this kit (if it does).

Yes, the kit comes with a separate and complete Sky Ray turret in addition to the Hammerhead and the Devilfish turrets.

There is one bit though that you won't get a duplicate of. The chin turret for the devilfish is where the burst cannon is mounted, but on the hammerhead/sky ray it's replaced with an array of lenses, it's not equipped with the burst cannon. So you would have to find another hammerhead turret sprue to get that bit or else you would have a hammerhead/sky ray modeled with a burst cannon turret it's not supposed to have.

It may or may not be a big deal to you or people you play with, but it's the kind of thing that would drive me nuts. It should also be noted that you could magnetize the chin turret if you wanted so you could swap the cannon/array out but I've never been adventurous enough to mess with magnets myself, I just know it's possible.
