Deranged Necron Destroyer

Leicester, England

Tomorrow we're organising an impromptu tournament of sorts between some of my friends from school. One plays Imperial Guard with a heavy emphasis on Leman Russes and other such tanks, one plays Dark Eldar but close-combat oriented, and the other plays Space Marines with a pretty adaptable play style, with a quite a few Vindicators and Predators to worry about. The models I own are:

2 Overlords
1 Destroyer Lord
2 Lords
1 Cryptek
40 Warriors
10 Immortals
5 Triarch Praetorians
1 C'tan Shard
10 Flayed Ones
15 Canoptek Scarabs
10 Destroyers
1 Doomsday Ark
1 Annihilation Barge
3 Monoliths
1 Doom Scythe
1 Tomb Citadel

Proxying will be allowed within reason, I'm sure. I really don't know how to make that versatile a list, so I'm farming it out to the Dakkites/Dakkanauts that are more skilled than I.

Put fifteen warriors in a night scythe (proxy the doom scythe as one - it's pretty much the same unit). Then a twenty blob and a ten blob of immortals with gauss. These are the best things you have. Then either: deep strike a monolith and start to pull stuff through and/or play a cryptek as a veiltek and teleport a big blob (though the Russes May pie plate your DS pattern, so be careful where you drop. The scarabs are good. And I think Fritz40k is actually still playing destroyers, so there must be a way of getting them to work. Looks like you are set up for 3rd edition though...

With the models you have, and knowing you face 2 mech armies and a low t/save close combat army, I would take the following:

Overlord (in immortal squad)
WS, SW, RO, MSS

Lord (in immortal squad)
WS, MSS

Stormtek (in warrior squad #1)

10 immortals (with overlord, lord and 2 mss rolls this unit should give a lot of dark eldar squads a run for their money in close combat)
Gauss

5 warriors (with stormtek this should be a dangerous AT unit)
Nightscythe

8 warriors

7 warriors

3 scarab bases

3 scarab bases

3 scarab bases

Annihilation barge

Use the scarabs as speed bumbs against the DE and as distraction units against the IG and SM. If they dont distract them, they will EAT tanks.
Don't be scared of sacrificing a warrior unit to close combat to preserve the immortals or barge.
You shouldnt have a problem against the mech lists if you stay spread out. You have the guns to deal with these. Its the assault of the DE that will cause you most problems if you don't thin them enough before they hit. Hence the scarabs and tooled up immortal unit.

I would proxy all your immortals as death marks and take two units of five. As you'll likely be facing mostly infantry at that price / enemy list the death marks will kill their marked targets turn one then probably a squad together every other turn. Death marks win games. They are so cheap I'd get three squads if possible.
