I just don't care for the kroot models. I've looked around quite a bit and haven't found any reasonable facsimiles that I care for. There is just such bulk of manufacturers that I know I've missed some. Any recommendations?

I don't know what you are asking. Nobody makes "not-Kroot" so you'll probably just have to find some sort of alien that you do like and use them. Give that we have no idea what you'd like, it's pretty difficult to offer suggestions.
