So I picked up some 28mm wargames factory samurai today for super cheap. Two boxes of samurai warriors and one box of samurai cavalry for $30!

So as I'm preparing to assemble these guys in my mind, I'm wondering if I should base them according to DBA or if I should go with some other ruleset. I was preparing to play with ancient Romans, but this deal was to good to pass up.

I was looking on wargames factory's website and I noticed the War and Conquest rules. Has anyone ever used these and if so, how was it?

Is there another company that I should look into for 16th century samurai rules that you've used and that you'd recommend? Would DBA cover this time period? I know I can get 12 stands out of what I've got!

War and Conquest is made by Rob Broom and is a refinement of the Warhammer Historicals ruleset. So if you like Warhammer 5th/6th edition, it's the next evolution of that ruleset for historicals use. Individual casualty removal, etc. It's a good set of rules but if you were planning on multibasing for Hail Caesar or DBA or something, then I would pass on it.
