Hi, my friend is running tau with riptides and quite a few crisis battle suits as a (retinue) I think he put it. So I want to take These units out I know the riptide doesn't score but it's still shooty and needs eliminating 1 as it's shooty and 2 moral for my friend or lack of it. I also run a couple of basilisk to take on his fire warriors without getting into a shoot off. I also normally run belial so termis are TC and can hold an objective pretty well with SS. So the main question is will LC dev squad cut the mustard to take on the riptide? As for his 6 crisis battle suits with tones of shield drones I don't really know was thinking LRC with a termi squad in the back carrying the SoD.

1) Please work to improve your grammar and syntax when posting. It's not that we're snobs, it's just hard to ascertain what you're asking if we can't tell where one sentence ends and where another begins.

2) Black Knights/RW Command Squads are the best Riptide hunters DA have.

3) Since you don't have access to Thunderfire Cannons, Whirlwinds make a poor man's substitute for killing Firewarriors.

4) IG allies are good, but Basilisks are not very effective. Vendettas are good; blobs of Guardsmen with a Fearless DA Libby or even Azrael attached for the 4++ are good. Marbo is good. Even a simple Leman Russ has merit.

5) Termies are ill-advised selections against Tau. Riptides eat them for breakfast. Even the Tau volume of fire with high AP weapons will make you fail 2+s.
