Subject: Can a Thunderhawk carry a dreadnought?

I'm a bit confused on that. The previous Apocalypse books gave dreadnoughts the equivalent of 10 normal infantry models and allowed a Thunderhawk (capacity 30) to carry 3.
With the new rules I didn't think that Thunderhawks could carry dreads anymore but then in the new IA, one of the drawings show a dreadnought transported in a Thunderhawk...
Did I miss something?

Nope, that rule seems to have been removed. However, it's Apocalypse, so the other players would probably be willing to add a house rule that you can put a dread in a Thunderhawk.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices. |

Super heavy transport are no longer allowed to carry non-infantry units, unless otherwise noted .
I liked that carnifex-carrying ork battlefortress picture they put in my mind with the previous book ...

Yeah, I used to proxy a T-Hawk and throw in a Chaplain Dread + a TDA BT Marshall (old 'dex), TDA MoS and 8 TH/SS Sword Brethren Termies with furious charge and rage... Hit like a ton of bricks...

If you're talking about apocalypse, you can, however, take a legion Thunderhawk, which can carry a dreadnought.

But can a Thunderhawk carry 30 models mixed from different units? Or do the models all have to be from the same unit? Not too many units are 30 models, at least not in CSMs, and I'd not want to waste the Thunderhawk on carrying zombies or cultists.
I guess it could transport 10 bikers for some reason, as they're very bulky (and the Thunderhawk rules say it can carry Jump Infantry and Bikers too). Maybe 20 Plague Marines and 2 Nurgle Biker Lords? That's 26 models, still room for 4 more, I guess Typhus and another Termie Lord could fit then.
Or should I build a Nurgle Plague Tower instead?

depends, what do you expect out of a super heavy? What kind of forces do you hope to use it against? What kind of financial investment are you willing to make it building your model?

Clearly answered in both Apoc and Escalation: "Super-Heavy Transports" Within the Super-Heavy vehicles rules.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.
