You don't need the mastery level on the Daemon Prince; you'd have to take your only power from the Tzeentch table (I don't ever give my Daemon Princes mastery levels). Replace with wings. Makes the DP a whole lot more killy, what with zipping around the board.

I would take off MoT, it's practically useless on anything that doesn't already have an invulnerable save (that also means getting rid of Icon of Flame, which is ALWAYS useless). Replace if possible with MoS and Icon of Excess; the mark grants +1 to initiative, so if you get into combat, you hit first, and that is excellent. The Icon also grants a +5 FnP which is wonderful. You don't need VOTLW either, it is limited in terms of usefulness.

Hellturkey is good, only one is perfect. You won't get things thrown at you across the table with the singular one.

I'm a big fan of Maulerfiends, so this breaks my heart to say... but take it out. You have pretty much no heavy firepower. So I'd recommend a group of Havocs, either with auto cannons or missile launchers. With auto cannons you're sending out 8 strength 7 AP 4 shots, and while missile launchers only bust out one shot each, they are strength 4 AP 6 small blasts, with an option to fire krak missiles at strength 8 AP 3 (they aren't small blast though).

I hope I've helped as much as I think I have.

Agree about the mastery levels-either go big or go home with psychic powers. Wings and mace is probably nasty enough for the points level. Also drop ichor blood unless you have nothing better to buy(you always have something better to buy).

I also agree about dropping the marks and icons of flame. For the cost, you can get rhinos for each unit to give them mobility and protection. Veterans is ok for the points, the extra Ld really helps now and then, and is near required if you are on foot. Maybe switch one unit to melta or plasma, 2 units of flamers may be a bit excessive.

With rhinos, the maulerfiend makes more sense, but without em I agree you should go with more power armor like havocs, although oblits are pretty good too.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

Thanks for the ideas, gentiles.

I'm still hoping for a mono-tzeentch style army, but those sound like sound ideas.

The only times MoT really work with CSM is on anything with the Daemon rule and Terminators. If you have, say, Terminators and Possessed, it'd be quite beneficial.

Daemon prince with MoN wings black mace mastery lvl 1

Hes got a 3+ cover save if swooping, is a beast in CC and if you roll weapons virus on the nurgle chart you will be happy with joy.

Also for mauler fiends I find it best to either take none or take 3.
