I've looked through the GW site, and the Masters of the Chapter yields the bald headed Axe wielder, an uninspiring model.

There's the SS/PW guy in the Reclusiam Command Squad, but again, I'm wondering if there's a better looking model I haven't found.

I once pulled a SS off a termie model, and stuck it on a librarian (staff and pistol), to 'meh' results.

Can anyone suggest a kitbash of a decent looking, Storm Shield, & PW lookin' Chapter Master/HQ/Librarian model? Something else?

Plasticard is your friend here, many of the better looking Stormshields are home made with some greenstuff work and bits added to a base to a good end result.

I'm doing a Raven Guard Shadow Captain / Shadow Master using a Captain Korvydae model from Forgeworld and weapons taken from the new plastic Vanguard Veteran's kit. Korvydae works quite well as a base for characters of other Chapters if you want a strong avian. Its festooned with raven iconography, bird skulls and other ornate bling, so its good for Captains, Chapter Masters and Librarians.

Only a few of the symbols are the unique Raven Guard symbol (my Avatar), and you may need to file them off or swap out the parts for something else if it doesn't fit your theme.The other avian iconography could easily represent a single headed Eagle, or other birds.

I've seen a really cool Blood Raven Chapter Master done using a Korvydae model.

My Shadow Captain / Shadow Master Edithae is magnetised, so I can swap out the weapons and jump pack for different loadouts.

Dark Angels Deathwing Command Squad comes with some larger tower shield style Storm Shields.... granted theyre covered in angels and winged swords but that could be smoothed out and dressed up a bit to match your chapter surely.
Infact the rest of the pieces could be useful, theres storm bolters, fitsts, chainfists, claws, hammers, cyclone launcher some robed tosoes, decorated studded legs and arms etc etc.

If you cna successfully de-dark angel the pieces you like the kit makes some quite posh and shiney terminators that stand out from your more plain suits.

Heres an interrogator Chaplain I made from the bits in the DW command kit;



No Storm Shield I know, but the Crozius was made with the handle for the Deathwing Knight Champions flail and a dark angel icon, The head was a Chaos Marine, and the rest is pieces of the DW command squad.

I used the SS from the command squad (same one as the reclusiam squad) It is small and has a bolt pistol as part of it.

If your skills are lacking (like mine), it is easy to convert. I sanded mine smooth and put some etched brass on it.

Thats a Combat Shield, not a Storm Shield. Storm Shields cannot be used with a pistol.
