Battle Barge Impossible Fortress

How do you think this will fair against nids?

No clue what he will be using, but I know he favors the Swarmlord with a Flyrant, some big beasties and lots of Devourer gaunts. My only other minis are: A Sorcerer, Herald on Disc and a Predator. I think Ahriman will be deployed with the Terminators.

Noise Marines are the answer to Nids. Thousand sons not so. Thousand sons don't have the firepower to thin out hordes and they
don't have the strength to take down MC properly. Shadow in the warp effectively nullifies a lot of your Psychic abilities, and if he is
taking a lot of MC then he will likely cover a large area.

Nids aren't in a good state right now, but this army is probably the least optimal choice. Now I love Thousand Sons, but they just don't
match up well against Nids. I would also avoid Plague marines and Zerkers because poison robs the Plagues of their main strength
and Zerkers are outclassed by Nids up close.

I would have MSU Noise marines backed up by Havocs with Autocannons, season to taste. That core unit mix really guts Nids.
Having said that you can still put up a serious fight, Thousand sons hit like a sledgehammer and should be able to focus down his
MC. It's just going to be an uphill battle.

Alot of it will probably depend on the new codex, but I think you should consider splitting your termies into 2 squads, 5 are probably enough to deal with anything you aren't planning on shooting to death. YMMV though, it's possible he'll have units that can wipe 5 before you even swing.
I'm guessing you don't want to use a screamer star, but if you did you could tie up the swarmlord quite handily.
I would go for buffing powers with Ahriman, you have alot of guys who could benefit from the divination table while things like smite aren't going to be as effective against T6+ stuff. I think that most of it's going to come down to your target priority and how effectively you can kill the tervigons.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

Perhaps DakkaPreds could be of use. Less than 100pts each for mass Autocannons and Heavy bolter goodness.

If you were still keen on the Termies, Combi-flamers in 3 units of Termicide could roast a few bugs.

Heck put flamers on everything
