Emplaced weapons on the Firestorm Redoubt have the Primary Target rule, forcing them to prioritize fire: first at the nearest FMC/Flyer; second, if those targets aren't available, at the nearest other enemy target.

QILs, though, have Interceptor. So at the end of my opponent's movement phase, do I get to choose which unit to Intercept, or must I follow the Primary Target restrictions?

*all rules are from Stronghold Assault

First - those rules are also in the box when you buy the box. The SA rules updated the weapon options that are available so it's not just the QILs. So the rule in question is not specific to SA (just to mitigate those discussions).

The way myself and a number of TOs in my region have ruled it is that if you have the building claimed, the controlling player may choose to use interceptor on the automated emplaced guns to select a model that arrived from reserve to be the target. However, if a ground target and a Flyer/FMC both enter on from reserve on the same turn, the Flyer/FMC must be targeted. If only a non-Flyer/FMC entered from reserve, it would the target (and not an already-deployed Flyer). If 2 Flyers enter on the same turn, the one closest to each QIL separately is targeted by that gun.

In a Nutshell:
- Normal firing -> Flyer/FMC and then Ground.
- Interceptor -> Unit that Triggered Interceptor then Normal Firing Targeting Precedence if multiple units arrive on the same turn.

I agree with the Llama.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.
