Subject: New Nurgle CSM Player - Pointers Please

Human Auxiliary to the Empire

Hello, I just started playing Nurgle CSM, but I have a pretty big army. I would like some help on creating a pretty good list from what I have, and pointers on what to buy next. I like shooting armies, so I would prefer to stay away from close combat.
This is what I have of CSM:
HQ
1x Abaddon the Despoiler
4x Chaos Lord
1x Chaos Lord in Terminator Armor
1x Dark Apostle
1x Sorcerer
1x Typhus
Elites
10x Terminators
24x Chosen
3x Helbrute
Troops
20x Plague Marines
Transports
2x Rhinos
|
~3000 Points of Farsight Enclave
~4000 Points of "Looters of Nurgle"
~2000 Points of Raven Guard |

I'm sorry that I have no tips, however, Helldrakes are (supposedly) a very good. Maybe drakes next? I also know that Plague Marines w/ Plasma are good.

2 heldrakes is the sweet spot for competitive lists pre-escalation/stronghold assault
Nurgle bikes or spawn at T6 are good. Typhus and zombies are good too.
What kind of special weapons do you have on those chosen? Cypher might be a cheap way to dramatically alter the way your army plays what with infiltrating chosen (but can't take mark of nurgle sadly).
Daemon Princes with black maces are good, but Nurgle ones are slow and purposeful even if you get a sweet cover save while flying.
I've always wanted to try fabius with 20 upgraded CSM with MoN... that's str 5 T5 fearless marines with str 10 powerfists! I know you don't like CC but with proper HQ placement you could have a fearless army.
MoN havocs with autocannons mixed with MoN oblits are pretty nifty too.

Cackling Chaos Conscript

At somepoint you need a fast attack options. Your main options are either Bikers (with MoN for T6 fun) or helldrakes, which are pretty cheesy.
List wise, I'd run Typhus to unlock Plague Marines as Troops and zombies for back field objective holders. I would use zombies from the fantasy range to represent these. Also, take a second HQ, as Typhus's warlord trait sucks, so roll a random one instead. Maybe Chaos Lord with a BBoS?
Other then that go with that feels fun/fluffy/competitive. Delete for whatever situation you like.

Thanks for the help. I was thinking going for heldrakes, and I was also thinking of buying a CSM Daemon Prince, instead of going for a Nurgle Daemon Prince. I like the looks of the CSM Daemon Prince.

Painlord Titan Princeps of Slaanesh

Convert one chosen into plague marine so you have 21, then divide into 3 groups of seven.
Give them pairs of meltaguns or plasmaguns.
Put 2 squads in rhino while 3rd obj sit. Give them plasmagun or nothing at all.
Typhus>abaddon
On a tangent.
Hq: abaddon
8 Chosen, 4 flamers, rhino, dirge, dozer
Add 2 identical squads (using all 24 chosen) absolutely no pow fist or weapon on champ but you can get those on the other guys so it doesn't get wasted in a challenge.
Termi retinue, no pf on champ, dont need upgrades cuz they bullet catchers for aba
Back on subject
Hq: typhus
Sorc/lord in termi armor (try to make as warlord)
Troop:
7 plague marines, 2 meltaguns, rhino, dirge, dozer
Duplicate above
7 plague, 2plasmaguns (obj sitter)
Termi retinue for typhus. Same rules mentioned for aba escort. ( dont need all 10. Use 6 or minimum 3 so the rest can be converted to obliterators)if you use only 3 termi then you have 6 converted obliterators.
3x2oblitz, MoN
3 Helbrutes, tl lc replace mm, ml replace pf (can be used for aba list as they provide anti tank)
