Subject: Chaos Sorcerer: Shamash of the Cyclopean Sons
Been playing around with making custom characters for local players to use (in friendly games, of course).
Here's Shamash of the Cyclopean Sons, for a friend's Thousand Sons/Black Legion army.

Purist - May not target himself with Boon of Mutation (though has no qualms about 'gifting' other characters).
Warpfield Manipulation - During your shooting phase, may, instead of shooting, target a unit within 12"; if an enemy unit, it must reroll any Invulnerable save rolls of '6'; if a friendly unit, it may reroll any Invulnerable save rolls of '1'. Lasts until the start of your next turn. If Shamash is already locked in combat when using this ability, he has -1A this turn.
Warp Knife - Melee, S-1, AP2, Master-crafted, Force, Channel - After inflicting a wound with the Warp Knife, may expend a warp charge to, instead of activating the Force ability of the knife, channel a psychic power through the blade, using the effects of Doombolt (inflicting 1 hit), Breath of Chaos (inflicting d3 hits), or Tzeentch's Firestorm (inflicting d6 hits), on the wounded unit. Not usable in this manner during a challenge, nor usable to channel a power that was used in the shooting phase this turn, nor against a vehicle without WS. Deny The Witch may not be used against this effect.
Punish the Insolent - If an enemy attempts to Deny The Witch against one of Shamash's Psychic Powers during the Shooting Phase, and is unsuccessful, Shamash may expend a Warp Charge: if a Psyker is in the attempting-to-deny unit or using a Psychic Hood, he suffers a Perils of the Warp; otherwise, a random model in the unit suffers a Perils.
Apologies for the images all being pretty close to each other, was trying to get good angles on how he's based.
I would paint him, but he's a gift so I'm letting my friend do so so he fits the army theme.
Also, imagine he has a bolt pistol on his left hip; I didn't have one, so my friend is adding one.
I'll add another image once he's painted.
In case anyone was wondering, he's made from a Fantasy Chaos Sorcerer plus a few CSM bits.

The base I started with was square. I cut it down to be circular, but that made it just sort of legs going down beneath the round portion of the base left. I gave him a couple of round bases in case he wanted to cut off the 'legs' of the base to make it look a bit less awkward and just glue that texture to a real base; we'll see what he does with it.

However the Showcase board is for 100% done models, so I'm going to move this thread to the regular P & M board.
Please do post some pics when it's done -- it's a cracking idea and I'm keen to see how it turns out.
Or if you want to turn this into a blog/plog etc hit the alert and we'll move it again.
