what are the best techniques to make a old, well worn vehicle look realistic? wanting to know for when I paint my battlewagons which I want to make look veteran and battle damaged
Yeah, the above is a good method, for larger scratches it's also worth doing another layer under the black of a lighter shade of the base. This makes it look like the paint is peeling at the edges.
Using metallics and a sponge/scouring pad also works well.
