The Las Vegas Open is going to have (what is billed as) the first major Malifaux 2.0 tournament. My wife & I are going to attend, as it should be fun (we're both brand-spanking-new players).

Anyone else going to be there?

I'm strongly considering it -- I'm in Utah, so it's not a long drive, plus my folks have a time share I could possibly use if I jump on it -- but I've never gone to Vegas as broke as I'm bound to be... If it were in June, I could plan ahead, but February is a bit too fast of a turn around from Christmas.

There are enough convention events that you wouldn't even have time to go gambling. Just come to all the social events, too.

I foolishly decided that we should sell our house right now, too, which is seriously cutting into my practice time. I'm going to need Friday's block of time just to get a grip on the game.

I won't be attending, but even as a 1.5E player, I'm very interested to hear what the competitive 2.0 turns out to be like. The hot factions/masters, what minions see a revival in usage, who manages to break what combination of master/minion/upgrade/etc wide open.

Should be exciting times to watch a new metagame unfold.

It's more a matter of gas and food (make that gas OR food... I could probably swing one of them).
