There is a problem when I wash and drybrush my model with Tamiya clear enamel paint (similar to ink):
When I apply the second layer of wash or drybrush, it dissolves the first wash, greatly reducing the highlighting effects
What can I do, is there anything that can protect the first wash layer from the second one?

What the timescale between the 2 steps?

About 15 minutes, I usually use a brush to check if the first layer has dried.

Tsk, fail. Enamels should have being drying for a few hours before you put a second colour on.

So first wash, wait for a few hours then the second one? Applied for both washing and drybrushing?

Seems reasonable.
