So, a friend of mine did a lot of work with his minis incorporating very little magnets. When he was done, he had most of his Necron Destroyers and Heavy Ds with one that connected them to their flying base, and another for their cannon arms, allowing for easier transport and use of more of one or the other without needing more models, as well as built into the shoulders of Crisis Suits, to stick guns to, and some tank sponsons, and the like. While I don't know, for sure, how good I would be with them, I've thought it might be nice to know where to find such little magnets (the width of a Guardsman's or Astartes' wrist), so that i can set up some Guardsmen to have optional gun sets, depending on the opponent. Does anyone know where to purchase these tiny magnets? Thanks.

K&J Magnetics is probably the most popular single US supplier. I've ordered from them, myself, and was quite happy with the price and service. That was some time ago though, and I've heard grumblings here and there that while the service is still good, their edge in value has dropped, somewhat.

Seems that most people are going to Ebay, nowadays, as better deals can be found on smaller packs of magnets (just keep an eye on shipping costs - sometimes combined orders are the only way to avoiding paying more, once all is said and done). Unless you find something useful in their clearance section (which is worth checking - most sizes/shapes are practically worthless, to us, but there are occasional gems in there), you only start to see serious savings from large suppliers like K&J when you order in bulk.

You can also get on K&J"s mailling list, which sends you a coupon every month (no, they won't spam you).

I love their site, and they have quality stuff.

The stuff you get from ebay....who knows what N-Rating it is...
