hey guys I was wondering if anyone knew where to get an extremely cheap army case. I just built my own with a few vehicles and my wraiths.. totaled out to $360 (too much for me)

mainly I'm looking at holding 12 wraiths, 2 triarch stalkers, and 3 doom scythes. any suggestions?

The cheapest cases are using the "pistol cases" from the sporting good stores (and wall mart). They are about $10-$15 bucks, and have eggcrate foam in them.

The stalkers are going to be a challenge however, with their high profile - you are prolly gonna have to cut out a large area for them.

best of luck!

Pistol case could work but I would look at an army transport bag. The biggest one is the battalion one on wheels but their small ones go for around 40 empty.

I fit 2000 points of Eldar into a $10 box. It's a clear plastic box with lid with it's bottom covered in thin sheet metal which I cut to size using metal scissors and fixed with double sided tape.

My regular and terminator round bases stand on self-adhesive magnet foil $4 per sheet, approx letter size, and bigger models have 2-3 magnets superglued under the base.

You can fit a lot more stuff and deal with freaky shapes easier, since you don't need all that foam. I've never had anything move when driving my army around.

Here's what I did with just such a case.

I use Plano 4 pistol cases for almost all my miniatures With the techniques in the topic above, you can make a case for just about anything and they're very sturdy.

I use an aluminium flight case I bought from my local maplins store for around £20.
It's easily big enough for my csm army, consisting of 49 infantry size minis, landraider, rhino, vindicator, 3bikers, and 3 monstrous creature size minis.

For the price you paid to do it yourself, you could have bought a Battlefoam bag.

I use card board boxes and plastic bags. I kid you not, but games workshop use this packing method too! They use nice new clean boxes and plastic bags filled with air then sealed. I use recycled boxes and loads of carrier bags. Or bubble wrap. And put them in a hiking rucksack!

Actually not. The cheapest battlefoam bag that might be capable of holding a modestly sized army is almost 50 bucks and that's before foam. Check my topic above for a case that costs less than 20 bucks and with about 10 bucks in materials holds a full army.
