So I'm away to start an accumulator campaign, and my initial 500 points worth of marines need a cheap HQ, thus my librarian got to skip the paint queue. I wanted it to look quite dark, as I tend to think of Librarians as walking the tightrope between the emperor and the chaos gods. Very nice model to work on, but probably a bit too much bits and pieces hanging off him for my tastes. There are plenty errors and stuff, but I'm trying to stick to a schedule, so am calling him done. Having said that, as always, any criticism greatly received!

EDIT - the initial picture I posted was gak. I've recently switched to using a black background, from a white one. I thought my camera was being a dick, but as SRSFACE pointed out, the lighting was far too harsh. My old white set up diffused the light naturally, but the black wasn't happening, so I blu tacked some toilet paper over my spot lamps, and hey presto, much better pics. Hopefully I'll now get some comments (good or bad)!

A family pic of everything done for the accumulator so far:

Next up, a Las razorback, and a 5 man assault squad - that'll round out my initial force.

It's a little hard to give honest criticism because the physical light you are using to take the photograph is quite harsh.

From what I can tell, the purple looks really smooth and well done, though, so kudos on that. I don't know why but I struggle with that color unless I start really dark.
