They sold for next to nothing until the new marine codex came out. now you would think they were solid gold.
Your best bet would be to find a chaos player and buy a few extra starter boxes.
might be good to note that the cultists make great necromunda models so if you dont have a chaos player about but have some guys wanting to try that game (the rules are a free download), might be worth it that way too. Look at the price of necromunda models, you'r looking at $45 for a starter gang that doesnt give you half of what youget in terms of what comes in the starter box.
And you now you can always use the spare marine grunts as extra models for units. I bought a tactical squad and a dev squad and just used the extra models that came in the tack squad to build extra heavy and special weapons. mix them with the spare gunts that come with the set and you get 2 squads with a mixture of trade ins for heavy and special weapons.
The other extra chaos models (if you can find anyone...Paint them up to use for special scenerios. It can be a lot of fun to have a 3rd party set up a game table for you where the objective is a ruined temple defended by "NPC" chaos guys and the 3rd party defends it using them. or something similer.
