Hi all, it would be really great if you could give your opinions on this model, or more specifically his counts-as Thunder Hammer, as the model is very unfinished. I feel his 'hammer' may be a bit large for the model, but I'm not sure if that fits with Iron Hands being all about the technology and a 'bigger is better' attitude would befit them fairly well... Without further ado, here are some quick pictures from a variety of angles, thanks for any C&C.

The "hammer" is perhaps a tad big for my liking, but as 40k weapons go, I've seen far more disproportionate (and also far less thematic and plausible "counts as" bits of kit). Were it the only addition, and wielded with both hands, I think it would still work. When combined with the equally massive shield and shoulders, though, I think that the model becomes overwhelmed. Everything looks one step out of scale, like throwing SM parts on guardsmen, Terminator parts on PA Marines, etc.

I have to agree the thunder hammer looks good but the shield and the shoulders are a little too big. I think the shield wouldn't look too bad if the pose was more closed and it was held closer to the body. Apart from that the bionic leg looks good. Are you going to add a few more smaller pipes as well?

Thanks for the input guys, and I'm glad you think the weapon is alright. I see what you mean with the shoulders and shield, but I felt the shield would match up to the Thunder Hammer and would need to be big enough to warrant the 3++ save it conveys to the model... As for the shoulders, they're supposed to be pre-heresyesque, which are fairly big I though?

@Madrilous yes the bionics are being added to as we speak.

Looking good so far. Looking forward in seeing what you do with the bionic leg
