I am considering adapting my Iron Warrior army to best make use of Huron's warlord trait (i.e. dropping the expensive terminator and likely obliterator units and and likely going for cheaper units of marines in rhinos to outflank), but I would want to convert my own rather than using the GW model.

I am thinking of using a basic chaos marine body (or maybe one of the flashy chosen) and adding bionic bits from the iron hands box. I already have a lightning claw made up with a flamer on it to function as one of his weapons (originally intended to be a lightning claw + burning brand for a biker lord) but I am wondering where I can get a suitably chaotic looking power armoured axe for his other weapon?

Also I need something to represent the hamadrya that goes around with him and gives him a psychic power each turn. Not really sure where to go with that one.

Any ideas what I can use for the axe or the hamadrya?

Doesn't the Daemon Prince come with a big axe? Might be a little too large though. The simplest option would be for him to loot a power axe, fluff-wise perhaps taking it as a trophy from a fallen enemy. The Ork nobs have some nice power axes, either to loot or chaosify.

Given the IW love of mechanical stuff, I'd model the Hamadrya as a small floating drone field generator.

I have the top half of the axe from the actual finecast Huron mini, which I'd be happy to donate if you want it.

Thanks tomcat but I have managed to get hold of the chosen with power axe unassembled from ebay so will be using that.

I like the idea of the floating drone thing though, I might have to go with that.
