I just received a second hand army from a friend and was wondering if this version would be suitable for friendly games. When I say suitable, I mean, not getting tabled in the first two turns. I am completely new to 40k, but I have played fantasy in the past. I was working on a Nurgle themed chaos list, but when this fell into my lap, my loyalties quickly changed to the imperium (seems very chaosy in theory). The army is ultra-small and elite, which I kind of like the idea of in its own right. I am worried about the low model count, but am looking for some advice on what I could change, upgrade, drop etc. At the moment, this is what I have to work with, though most of the weapons on the vehicles are magnetized, so I should be able to make adjustments if needed. Just a heads up, the Paladins are armed with Halberds, and those are not magnetized. Thanks in advance if you respond.

Lord Kaldor Draigo

Two Dreadnoughts and a vindicare won't hold up for two turns by themselves.

I make bad decisions and think they are good.

Thats right, I forget that flyers are always reserves.

Can you start one flyer in the board with a landing pad?

Draigo win is not as good as it use to be... Let me think of something that would be a good draigo wing and not require the purchase of more than a few models

Draigo
5 man paladins 2 psycannons

1 man paladin

1 man paladin

1 man paladin

3 dreadknights telaporter HI

2 venerable dread rifleman (dual autocannons with psybolt ammo)

You keep both single man paladins in reserve and deep strike them. You make at least one dread knight scoring but will more than likely have both scoring. It is immune to hellturkey flammers as everything has a 2+ save. Has some long range fire power and if your opponent is guard and he puts his guys in a nice straight line like they love to do you can shunt 30 inches forward and use your strength 6 flammer on there armor 10 sides.
