I don't actually own a prime/primal rulebook, but this question has been gnawing at my mind, so forgive me if it's explained therein.

OK, so a model with dodge is shot at with an AoE weapon that misses... how is this resolved? What's the order?

Does the dodging model have to move it's 2'' before the deviation is determined (immediately after the miss is rolled), or can it wait and then move after deviation is resolved to avoid taking damage? (provided the deviation leaves the model still affected by the resulting Area of Effect)

Dodge allows for movement after the *attack is resolved*. In the case of an AoE attack that would include the scatter and possible damage rolls.
