Daemons are on my list of dream armies and I thought, why not? So from looking through the codex, forums and advice from a few people I heard that tzeentch is the way to go. I am a complete noob to daemons and have no idea on how to make a proper list, also this list is not meant to be the most competitive thing out there and I want to have fun, so I'm not designing this list to kill any particular army (partly because the person I usually play against reads my lists and designs his to kill it (I KNOW YOU ARE READING THIS CHAOSRULE!!!)) so this is a small list I came up with:

Herald Of Tzeentch w/ psyker mastery 2 and greater reward

Herald Of Tzeentch w/ psyker mastery 3 and greater reward on burning charioy

Pink Horrors (16)

Keep in mind that at my local meta we don't play objectives and keep it to KP games, also we don't have lots of time to play so only get about 3 turns per game, so don't factorise getting into turn 5 or 6.

The burning chariot might be the worst unit in the daemon codex, considering if it moves it can't fire...

Drop all the chariots, they are not good. Get more horrors and get a soul grinder in their too with phelgm take a portalglyph for more more troops and the grimoire for survivalbility on your units.

As the previous poster said, don't take chariots. They are weak, and can only snapfire if they move.

I'd go with a list like this:

HQ
Lord of change

Herald of Tzeentch - icon of +1 str psychic powers
Herald of Tzeentch - icon of +1 str psychic powers

TROOPS
16x Horrors of Tzeentch
16x Horrors of Tzeentch

Total 658 pts

This list gives you a good all round base to start a daemons army.

Lords of Change are currently the best greater daemon imo. Cheaper and tougher and stronger than a daemon prince of the same cost. Lvl 2 psyker gives you some shooting power and some divination goodness.

Heralds of tzeentch are a good source of prescience and increase the strength of the psychic powers of the squad.

Pink Horrors are the best all round choice for troops in a daemons list. You can't go wrong with them.

These options give you 90 points left to spend. These could go on a number of good options:

-Herald Psyker levels - gives more shooting or divination rolls
-Grimoire or portal glyph
-LoC - greater rewards, 1 lesser reward for staff of change
-LoC - Psycher level 3
-More pink horrors, fill the squads up to 20 models each.

Thank you for the feedback! I didn't know that chariots were so crappy... I don't know what to do with the leftover points. Maybe an extra psyker level on the heralds and some rewards? for 90 points I could get a greater reward and psyker level 2 on both of my heralds, good idea or not?

Yeah that would work fine. It all depends on what you want in your list, but all the options I said are viable.

Just try them all out and see what you like. Get some practice using psychic powers, the grimoire, portalglyph and greater gifts.

When taking extra psychic powers for the heralds, I recommend:

Level 1: Tzeentch - primis flickering fire
Level 2: Divination (2-5 are good, if you get 1 or 6 then go for the primis)
Level 3: Divination

Having at few prescience in a list is fantastic, it will significantly boost the firepower of your horror stars, and the re-roll successful armour saves will help shred MEQ and TEQ. Just be careful of psychic defenses like space wolves.

With the LoC I would do the same, 5 on divination with a LoC is one of the best things you can hope for).

Oh, I re-read your post. Don't get greater gifts on Tzeentch heralds. Get exalted for the book or portal.

Put greaters on your Loc, As they can significantly boost his survivability.

Once again thank you for the inforative reply. Can you tell me if the portalgyph would be a good thing to have in a tzeentch list? Because almost every daemon list I've seen has one and a grimore, but it seems more CC oriented that a tzeentch list should be. I could replace one of the pink horrors squads to a squad of 15 daemonettes and give the list a bit of CC power along with the shooty part. Anyway here's a revised list:

Also if I roll a one on exalted rewards, can I exchange the second roll on the table for a grimore/portalglyph?
