Tournament Army (750 Points)
New to forums as a Warhammer Player.
Ex Tournament Player - (Haven't played since 2006!) Looking to get back onto the scene. Used to play at the Conflict events and really enjoyed playing 750 Points Competitively as well as casually.
No flyers since there seems to be a few tournies where you aren't allowed to use them.

Draft 1:

Chaos Lord on bike
- Mark of Khorne
- Melta Bombs
- Axe of Blind Fury
- Sigil of Corruption
=160

Helbrute with TL Lascannon
=125

2x 6 Chaos Space Marines
- Plasma Gun each
- Aspiring Champ has Power Weapon
- Mark of Nurgle
= 272

3 Chaos Bikers
- Mark of Khorne
- Icon of Wrath
- Aspiring Champion with Melta Bombs and Lightning Claw
= 116

Obliterator with Mark of Nurgle
= 76

Total = 749

Tactics are pretty straightforward at this stage. Charge bikes in and smash stuff whilst keeping a good mobile fire support base. Not limited to CC which I'm anticipating is good given 'Nids just got released.

Ran a similar army in 4th Ed. as Word Bearers with Daemonettes over Bikes with great success. Not sure how effective it will be now but feedback is very well appreciated.

Brownie Points for more theme! (hard given how average Mark of Khorne is for anything other than CC squads).

Thanks in advance!

I'd drop the Helbrute with TL Lascannon in favor of another obliterator with MoN and some additional troops. You only have two scoring units, and they are small at 6 bodies each. Helbrutes are very weak in 6th ed and he will draw a ton of fire round 1.

I would also drop Mark of Nurgle on the CSM troops. Keep them as cheap as possible and add another to each squad with the points you save.

I think you should be able to do the above and end up with 2x10 CSM squads, each with 2x plasma for some firepower.
