Hi all another noob question.

Recently got 2 tie bombers to play with.

Now it says when bomb explodes give a damage card out to targets. Proton says face up card.

My question is how are shields effected. Does it bypass them or is it just remove a shield token as for suffering combat damage

You do exactly what it says on the card.

Seismic charges inflict one damage. This damage is resolved like any other damage: if the ship has one or more shields left it loses one, otherwise it takes a face-down damage card.

Proton bombs inflict a face-up damage card. This is NOT a hit or damage, the target simply receives the face-up card (and applies any relevant effects). Therefore it will ignore shields.

This is why you pay so much more for proton bombs even though they both do "one damage" to everything.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.
