Hi all,
I'm in the process of building some henchmen for an Inquisitorial detachment and was looking at Inquisitorial icons. I came across a reference to the gilded bolt shell as something an Inquisitor gives to a trusted acolyte in place of a rosette.I'm guessing it has something to do with maintaining a level of subtlty the rosette doesnt provide while showing a bit of authority.
It sounds like it would be a fairly subtle icon to add to a henchman so I wouldnt mind giving it a crack. So I was wondering if anyone had any information on what it would look like and how it would be worn. Off the cuff, Im guessing it's a gilded bolt shell, but I've been wrong more than once.
Thanks for any help.

It's a kind of medal thing right? I think space marines have balistic honours or something like it ( http://stormangels.free.fr/images/Honneur_balistique.jpg)

I could see it around the neck with a little bit of greenstuff for a cord maybe? Automatically Appended Next Post: I've definitely seen them in my bits box before I think, maybe on grey knights kits?

Having checked on the grey knight sprues I couldn't find bullet-like decorations. The new sternguard kit has a bunch of them though.

The bolt shell is the Marksman's Honour, a symbol of the accuracy of the owner. It is rare, the only wielder that leaps to mind is Torias Telion. Apparently they are shells once fired by Guilliman.
Source: A WD soon after the release of the 5th ed codex, I do no remember the number. It was in a 'painting Marines' guide, I think.
The above is the only such medal I know of. I have never heard of an Inquisitorial equivalent.
