Hey guys, this is Dexter from Shark Mounted Lasers. This past October, I was a sponsor of "Feast of Blades" here in Colorado, and one thing I kept hearing from 40k players was that they were tired of "ruins" being the only terrain available for the most part. That being said, I decided to hash together something a little less "grim" and Tau stood out to me for having clean lines and such.

Although not exactly Tau (I don't feel like playing games with GW's legal department)Even though we're pretty much in the clear now ) I think they fit pretty well.

Any comments, or other races you'd like to see emulated?

That stuff looks bloody brilliant!

It would also work for any non-Grimdark(tm) SF background, such as Infinity.

As long as you avoid the specific Tau symbol used by GW, there can't be any legal risks, I should have thought. (IANAL.)

Users can always put the Tau logo on themselves if they want.

Looks good so far. How did you make them?

I have not been the person I was since I stopped being him.

Sweet! Keep us posted on your builds! Send them my way and I'll play test them...

Looks awesome I would like some of stuff!

Is it laser cut? Using what kind of laser and materials?
How tall is it looks really cool I could see doing an entire board with that stuff that would be awesome!

Maybe try and make some necron type stuff that would be cool to see. It would be sort of similar shapes.
Keep up the good work!

The "stuff" is available now at www.sharkmountedlasers.com!

As for the creation, yes it's made on a laser cutter, CO2, made out of 100% post-consumer recycled MDF! (We're the only terrain company who uses such, it's even formaldehyde free)
All of these buildings are 2.375" Tall in this series. And, yes, they look awesome taking up a whole table. Because they're all the same height without a balcony- They all stack nicely together!

I'll definitely look into Necrons next

You need to put some pictures of it in your webstore gallery and make an announcement in the News forum if you haven't already done so.

Also, there is a typo in the copyright statement on your front page.

The next thing would be to do a photo or video guide to how to bend and shape the walls, and how to fill the slits if people want to make the walls totally smooth.
