I'm going to start some pre heresy world Eaters soon but a lot of people warned me against the GW skull white spray paint. Is Army Painter white any better? And if so what would you would recommend I do with prepping the models and spray paint for spraying?

You should prep the models as usual: clean the mould lines and scrub off the mould release with soapy water.

As for Army Painter, I hear that the aerosols are very temperamental. Follow the directions exactly as pertaining to distance and shaking.

I would go for a white automotive primer most likley.
Havent tried the GW one for over a decade, but it used to be a bit more on the chalky side than the black and colour sprays they did at the time.

Being as the pre heresy WE scheme is white armour, your probably better off going with a grey spray and highlighting upto white. (thats just my preference really - I find that its easier to highlight grey than it is to shade white)

I like army painter white actually. I use that and Krylon matte black (paint primer maybe? not sure exactly).

I find that aslong as you give the army painted a thorough shaking (30 seconds to 2 minutes depending on how lazy I am) it comes out with really good results.
I really like the flow of the paint and the coverage from the army painter over Krylon because lots of people use krylon but it is still good (half the price too).

I would go with a light grey primer if you are going for a white and highlight up to a NEAR white colour then just flecks of pure white on highlights.

In my anecdotal experience I cannot recommend Army Painter sprays. I have tried a few of them and have been fairly displeased with how inconsistent the spray is. I have been priming models from rattlecans for many years and am quite confident that my technique is good, but the AP sprays seem to alternate between too thin, and detail-obscuring thick foam. Your mileage may vary, some people love them.

You are an American, so presumably you live near a Walmart or Lowes? If so, get their cheapest, bottom of the barrel 99 cent stuff. It comes in flat white and flat black (it can be hard to find flat white at Lowes). I am very happy with how those have worked out.

Avoid the Fusion line from whoever makes it (Krylon?) - it goes on very, very heavy and cannot be stripped.

Krylon white primer. Bros. save your $ for models.

It's a bit on the expensive side, but I've never had any problems with the Privateer Press P3 White Primer or Black Primer. Those are the ones I use the most.

I would agree that P3 is a good choice. Of course, I'm pretty sure it's just a repackaged automotive primer, so you could just go that route (it tends to be cheaper).

Frankly, I've been unhappy with white sprays overall. Still like black, but white seems to be particularly chunky so anything I want to prime white I do with an airbrush and Vallejo surface primers.

I use the army painter white spray when I am feeling lazy and do not want to use my airbrush for Vallejo's white primer, I find it does fine when used carefully and even better when the can has been warmed.

If your going to use a spray primer I recommend the primers from Privateer Press. Both Black and White are excellent.

Army Painter paints and primers are subpar in quality and I'd recommend GW product over them. And I'm a guy who when GW redid the paint line swapped to the P3 and Vallejo lines exclusively.

With Krylon, you get what you pay for.
