So, I have played Wood Elves (Still have them but waiting for a new army book) And Skaven (Had a large army, But sold it because I just realy dident enjoy playing them all that much) So I was starting a Ogre army since it was the most diferent from Skaven, Only to have a friend spot that, and quickly step in and buy a 3300 point Ogre Army.. So now I'm thinking of trying to sell him my Ogre Battallion and starting a diferent army instead, But.. What armies are the most diferent from Skaven other then Ogres?

High or Dark Elves. They may both be fast and little low on toughness, the Elves rely on expertise to cut you down, supported by good magic and Calvary from the way I've seen them played. In comparison to the Skavens playstyle of "How many more rats will fit into that combat?" Elves feel every casualty. Skaven...not so much.

But! You also have Warriors of Chaos, who are slower, but have a higher armor and toughness and hit like a ton of bricks.

Lizardmen are freakishly slow, but hit hard. But they are prone to hording, so they are similar to Skaven like that.

That's it for my limited experience. Hope I've helped out.

Warriors have got to be the most different from Skaven They've both got decent magic phases ... and that's about where the similarities end!

I would have to say the Dwarfs. Not only for the sake of Lore, but the differences are quite numerous.

Dwarfs are heavily armoured and in smaller numbers, no magic, not very manuverable for the most part.

Though I would also say Lizardmen definitely. Heavy armour again, no warmachines, and can field a wide variety of army types.

Really, I would just go for anything not hoard.....

Or you could stick with your Ogres if you actually like them, and paint them in like William Wallace face paints or something that makes them markedly different from your frien'd army and say they are in a blood feud with his army.

I understand the whole "let's not play the same army"-thing, but heck, if he just stomped in on over you, don't let him take an army that you actually enjoy playing.

WoC or Dwarves are probably the most different. They're slower, more elite, more heavily armoured and much better in combat and where the Skaven army has both a good shooting and magic phase, WoC lack a shooting phase (hellcannon aside) and the Dwarves lack a magic phase. This means you'll have to compensate by making sure you're stronger in the other phases, which is a challenge.

Skaven are quite silly as well. And Dwarves and WoC are very serious, which is another big difference as well. Someone suggested Lizards which, while fairly different, aren't so much as WoC/Dwarves, since they're pretty silly as well, what with all their levitating magic frogs and dinosaurs on dinosaurs.

Well, real life has mammals on mammals.

... sounds like a really bad erotic flick.

Or the chorus to Bad Touch

Anyway...

Three come to mind

Warriors of Chaos - they have armor. Rats don't.

Ogres - Obvious reasons

Demons - Really obvious reasons.

I would just stick with Ogres. If you are worried with playing against the same army, just make your army as different from his as possible. Like, if he's fielding mass Iron Guts, field a bunch of belchers. If he gets an ironblaster, use a scraplauncher. You get the idea.
Paint them all green and make them Shrek Expies for hilarity.

You know what, I wont give up on Ogres. I'l continue working on them, and try to be as diferent as I can from his army, And try to ignore his constand nagging about how i'm playing the game all wrong.. I'l use Ogres with two hand weapons, i'l use many Leadbelchers, Probably wont take any iron blaster, But I'l have a Thundertusk!

And.. Then.. Sometime in the future.. I'd like to build up all three elf armis.. Expand my Wood Elves when they get a new book, Aswell as build up a High Elf and a Dark Elf army..

Seven feet tall sounds about right for a leadbelcher.
