Poor ignorant guardsmen, it be but one of many of the great miracles of the Emperor! The Emperor is magic, like Harry Potter, but more magic! A most real and true SPACE WIZARD! And for the last time... I'm not a space plumber.

Looks very cool. I like the hyper coloring of the reds. It gives a great contrast to the black and white.

The blood on the shield doesn't communicate as blood due to the red on the hammer/shield. A clearer differentiation would make it cleaner

I did use the new Blood For The Blood God paint, so it's glossy in comparison to the rest of the reds on the model for differentiation, but the glossiness clearly doesn't show up on the photos

The black and white paint job is great - crisp, clean, very nice.

I can't tell if the hammer's head is supposed to be red, or if that's blood. If it's blood, it's overdone, there's some really nice tutorials about how to do blood spatter realistically on a mini without over-doing it (involves methods of darkening up, and thinning red ink, and then flicking or blowing it off the bristles). If it's meant to be red, then i recommend a shade apart from the blood on the shield, as right now it's tricking the eye to think that the hammer's head is covered in blood too.

The spatter is very nice on the shield, though i still recommend checking out spatter effects to take it to the next step.

That small criticism aside, excellent work, very nice.

I did look up blood splatters on the internet and I copied them as best as I could, but the sergeant I'm currently painting had a lot better splatter so hopefully he will get better reviews. By the way, the red on the hammer isn't blood it's a very badly done power weapon effect as I don't have an airbrush to do it with xD
Thanks!

Lookin' slick. I'm painting up some Black Templars myself, so it's always nice to see others. Does his shoulder pad say "Johan"? I approve of that, cause that's the sexiest name in the world

Well, hell yeah.

Well, hell yeah.

It does indeed say Johan ;D My sergeant is Payen, my Chaplain is Morien, my next Terminator is Mathias :3
I usually steal my names from the Knights of the Round Table, Morien was one of the Knights and Payen was a Knight's Templar

I'll get right on it!

It's a good job. Like others have said though, the blood effect is confusing/lost due to the red hammer and shield. I also think prior to putting blood on the shield, it could use more attention. Right now, it looks a bit bland (minus the blood effect, which is good). I recommend layering the borders of the cross either white-black-white, or black-white-black. This photo illustrates what I mean.

I tried to add the red half to spice up the shield, and to also promote red as the spot colour for my Crusade, the only reason I didn't want to do black-white-black is because it'd just look to similar to the armour in my opinion, thanks for the advice though :3 I have a dreadnought in the works, and all of my stuff is posted on 'Muh Black Templars' in my sig except my Captain, who I'm re-gluing xD
