As an anti-army to my nids and a way of making use of a rapidly growing bits box of nid bits I opted to make up some models of my first love Orks. I always seem to gravitate back toward painting orks when I hit a slump as they are just so enjoyable and relaxing to build and paint. In the theme of the new Nids codex I have opted to go with the Octavius Empire Orks for heavy anti-nid fluff and also the concept of bigger, better and more brutal ork inventions coming from the warzone.

As my first test model and first attempt feathering a carapace here is my Ork Boy:
