Working under the assumption that FW characters are allowed in play, would Lord Hector Rex be permitted to be used as an HQ for an Inquisitorial detachment to an Imperial aligned army?

To my understanding, there has been no errata stating that he can or can't and the most recent readout of him that I currently have says he is an HQ choice for GK.

The reason I ask this is because with the recent Inquisition handbook that has been made available to everyone, it really changed the dynamic of the GK army I had planned out at first. Not for the worse, mind you. The idea is still there, just trying to shuffle a few things around.

It does seem quite logical, but currently there is no FAQ or Errata indicating he can be taken with anything but an Grey Knight army or allied detachment that I am aware of.

I'd personally have absolutely no problem with it, but it isn't RAW (yet).

So far he's a Grey Knight Inquisitor only.
So no, he can't be in a Inquisitorial detachment.

The bigger question is: why would you take him? While the model is awesome, his rules aren't.
