Dunno if this was posted but was messing about to see how many T6 creatures you could get at 1850 level.
Came up with:
2x HTs
2x3 Tyrant Guards
2x ripper swarms
9 Carnis
17 in total
About 70 points left over.
Any better combos?

Anyone figured out a way how to maximise Warriors?
I'd love to run 9(+) of them but just seem to find other things being slightly more optimal and/or cheaper.
Anyone got any good loadout ideas or cheeky tactics?

Guys do you think this list would work? The idea is a deepstrike based theme.
1500 roughly
Tyrant with wings, AG and dev + hive commander
Deathleaper
Lictor
Lictor
Tervigon (outflanking)
30 gants
20 Gargoyles
4 Raveners with devs with Red Terror
3 Raveners with devs
Mawloc

Guys I need a bit of advice on Harpy VS Crone.
I picked up one of the kits but havent assembled it yet as either.
Which should I go for? I have 2 flyrants as it stands but no other air support/units.
Meta = anything and everything really.

Guys Im looking to bring this TAC list to an 1850 tourney at the end of this month.
Any advice is much appreciated
2 x Flyrant with devs and grubs
2 x Lictors in a brood
2 x single Zoans
15 x Horms with toxin
15 x Horms with toxin
12 x Stealers
14 x Gargs with toxin
14 x Gargs with toxin
5 x Shrikes with devs and rending
2 x Mawlocs
3 x Biovores
The basic idea is to present a lot of different types of threats and move quickly to get board control/tie up units/pressure objectives.

Why the Lictors and Zoans?
Lictors to try and pressure some weaker backfield units opponents might have (artillary, long fangs etc).
Zoans for a bit more synapse and warpcharge.
Im definitely not set on either tbh if you have alternatives?
I think you'll struggle with this list as it is.
Could you expand a bit ?Im not overly familiar with the dirtier Nid builds. I dont have enough models to run full formations Im afraid.

Riddle me this my little xenomorphs:
Is there a way of getting two Flyrants and a Tervigon into a single FoC list (no duals) using any of the available options without paying the Termagant tax?

Cheers, its more the model tax tbh.
With the tax thats 30 needed at base. Then over the course of a game, probably another 30+ if you do well.
Added to that I want to bring 3x10 smaller units as extra fodder.
So that adds up too.....

I assume the Toxis poisoned 2+ stacks with its MC smash rule giving it 2+ to wound, AP2?
Still WS 3 is so meh. Even VS tac marines out of 7 attacks on the charge, 3-4 will hit statisically? Why are most Nid MCs horrible WS? HTH monsters wtflol?

Looking for some advice guys on Nids VS AV13 and above, Land Raiders, Bunkers, frontal armor on heavies, Preds etc.
Leaving aside getting into combat and trying rear armor hits (which fail VS bunkers/LRs) what do you recommend without picking something fairly whacky or throwing a spanner in an army build?

If you start your Flyrants off the board due to no cover or Bastion do you lose strike capacity / board control turn 1-2 and risk getting them in piecemeal? How do you counter this?

Guys do I have the null deployment idea right here?
Deploy only with a bunch of spore mines or mucalids on the field - perferablly hidden or out of LoS.
Opponent potters about turn1, maybe tries to kill a few.
Turn 2+ bring in reserves?
If so my questions then are:
If you're up VS an alpha strike list, how does coming in (potentially piecemeal using reserve rolls) mitigate the opponent alpha striking you turn 2?
Isnt there a chance that with some bad reserve rolls, units come in piecemeal and maybe even late?
It gives board control early to your opponent?
Your opponent might get lucky or good and blow the spores away turn one meaning its an auto loss?
Whats the overall strategy behind it?
Im just curious as to the nuances and advantages of it.

So here's my take on null deployment nids.
Tyranid CAD
Dakka flyrant
E grubs
3 lictors
2 deep striking rippers
3 mawlocs
Tyrannocyte
5 barbed stranglers
Leviathan detachment
2 dakka flyrants
E grubs
Venomthrope
3 mucolids
Tyrannofex
E grubs
Bastion/comms
So as a newbie Null deployment Nid player, do I have this right?
1. Deployment is: only mucolids (perferably hidden behind LoS terrain or the Bastion), bastion with comms and Venomthrope within the bastion?
2. You deploy the bastion on the edge of Nid deployment zone?
3. Venom + bastion give turn 2 deepstrikers 5+ inv ?
4. Rest of the deep strikers land to counter where opponent has moved?
5. Flyrants - do they fly on or deepstrike? Situation dependant?
6. Should you ever outflank / infiltrate Lictors? Or ?
7. Everything else deepstrikes?

Can anyone tell me where I can find a Tyranid bastion at or a ADL. I am not good at modeling and I would like not to use the ones that GW have. It just doesn't feel right using them.
ADL I'd go with wargammas. I have their old spore and it is well done, not seen their ADL in person but I'd trust its quality.

Guys, what are your views on Tyrannocyctes from a usefullness/monetary cost point of view. I have a GW voucher with which I could get two. Is two enough? Are they worth it overall? Are their any proxy options that might be cheaper?

Before Leviathan detachment came out they were a godsend, but now they dont bolster our forces in any way effectively. I think I've used mine twice.
Can you expand on the Lech? Im not familiar with Leviathan formation?
How does it handicap Tcytes or negate their usefullness?

But for newbs like me that dont want to Flyrant spam, a few Tyrannocytes worth it then in terms of adding mobility, backfield pressure and army dynamics?
Monetary cost is the main issue here. Is it a case of "go many or go home"?

Are you worried if you null reserve with the big guys, the spores will be blown off the table if terrain isnt heavy and you might get tabled early?
I've never dabbled really with a reserve/null style Nid list. I think its very interesting.

Im thinking of going to a tourney laster in the year and came up with this Stealer rush list.
Could you guys help to maximise it? I'd love to take 4 Mawlocs but only have two Im afraid. I dont have any extra HTs either. It leaves me with about 300 points to spend.
I've maxed my Genestealer models too.
Do you think it has a chance, its mainly for fun but the Irish scene is quite competitive. However I'd like to not get tabled every game
thanks!
