Does Cypher use his WS in combat or his BS? He uses his guns in combat, but it is still close combat. Which one is it? For me it makes sense that he uses his BS, since he is shooting but still.

Why?

The dataslate states that : "In the Assault phase, half of Cypher’s close combat attacks (rounding up) are Strength 4 and AP5, and all remaining attacks are Strength 7 and AP2."
Nothing more. His attacks are still close combat attacks, only with the weapon profiles of his pistols.
If he would use his BS in CC, there would be at least one sentence about it.
